Welcome to the city of Chennai

Finally we came down at Chennai Central Station.Jayita's relatives were there to recieve us.We made a call to the students of Anna like Kanagaraja who were in charge of hospitality.We boarded a AC cab towards Guindy Anna university campus.We were pleased to know that Sachin has completed his 200 run feat in a ODI match that moment.We were luckt that the cab driver was friendly enough and knew both English and Hindi.We had a good chat session with him knowing every bits of the city on our way to Guindy.The city of Chennai was cleaner and and much more disciplined in ways of traffic control compared to our city Kolkata.We found shops and showrooms of almost every brands.By that time we were planning where we can do our sight seeing in the city as soon as the technical symposium gets over.We found advertisements of Uninor,telecom brand which was yet to hit the eastern part of India.Finally we entered the Guindy campus where the students recieved us.

The Train Journey

We boarded the Coromandel Express around 2 in the afternoon.The guardians or parents as usual bid good bye to their wards and the rest finished their proceedings by phone only.So it was a very long journey,almost a day whole.We had brought our arrangements with us for our self refreshment.We had chat sessions,played cards,sometimes the middlesex(as i call them) came for earning their livelihood.Often we enjoyed the beauty outside from the windows of the moving train.We crossed many rivers on our way.There were some large bridges over them.There were problems regarding the charging of cell phones.The train stopped at big junction stations only like Kharagpur,Cuttack,Bhadrak,Bhubaneshwar,Khurda Road,Vizag,Vijaywada,etc.We used to get down at those stations to fill our drinking bottles.We ordered our lunch and dinner in the train Pantry Car Catering service itself.Finally we reached Chennai Central the next day Evening around 4PM.

The Journey Begins

Anna University Chennai organises a National level technical symposium for all the budding Printing engineers all round the country.And in the process they invite students from different printing colleges throughout the country including Pune,Manipal,Avinashlingam,Kurkshetra,Navi Mumbai,Gurujambaleshwar,our very own Jadavpur University and many more.So it has become a trend for the 3rd year students of the department of printing engineering of Jadavpur University to attend this mega event and take part in various competitions.So this year it was our turn and finally we 7 students set out for the process.
